Lightbulb Discovered %

Is there a mod or some way to see how many % of the world have you discovered? I have 40hrs+ playtime in one world, went through the corruption, a dungeon, to the hell, got a full hellstone armor and stuff, and it would be just interesting if i could see how many % of the world left undiscovered.

Use a map viewer? if you placed torches you should be able to see where you have been to and what parts of the world you have yet to been to. This also means you can see ALL parts of the world<sky island, dungeon, biomes, dungeon> and its NOT a % of how much you discovered. you just need to estimate yourself. if not i dont think theres any way to see how much of the world you discovered

What about people who use mining helmets instead of torches?

If you use a world viewer you might be able to recognize some of your own digging or certain features of a cave. Apart from that, I don't think there is another way.

Switch to a stronger helmet before you summon the boss.Watch Tobuscus' walk-through.He hardly ever uses anything but the mining helmet.

I use torches and signs. If it's a big cave that I haven't finished, I'll throw a sign at the opening or near it. I'll even label em and give myself directions. For example "Left Haunted Mine. Right New Sporigal." things like that. It's especially useful for when you are really deep or in a big cave system. "Left Lava Pits. Right Marrow Wind Cave. Up Sunlight.". Then for when I am in the Corruption with all those chasms, I just slap a torch on the topmost edge if I've explored it and it leads to nothing, a sign if there is a network connected to it and a blue torch if there are shadow orbs I haven't smashed.

I find that method is the best since, if you ever play online, your friends/people will know where stuff is without constantly asking you.
