borderlands GOTY, not connecting to key server/no keys

ok. bought the game
wanted to play it
failled to connect to key server

last time this happened was painkiller black
steam resopnded that they would have them next day

this is what im hopeing for, a response from steam about this issue that i know at least one other person here is haveing.

Same issue for me!! Sux!!! Spent 17 whole minutes to download and then not able to play!! FYI... it really did take 17 minutes but I was just trying to be funny...

33 minutes for me, you must have gotten a better server than me.

was planning to play the game in speed run the first go because i have it on the xbox, just no dlc... got the game back when i didn't have a computer to play it...

that said, i encourage everyone who is currently experience what i described to respond. don't complain about it or anything, the only purpose of this thread is to alert people there is a key shortage, and possibly get a response form steam about when we can expect keys.

for me it was more holding off, and holding off because i already maxed a character in the xbox version, didn't want to have to real play it yet again... but seeing it for 75% off so often... i just had to... god im weak.

Likely the system is having trouble giving out keys. These symptoms show up when Steam has run out. Gearbox should restock soon.

The demand is indeed high, 10th place of currently played games on Steam. I already did have Borderlands, only without DLC's, so I bought them today, and got this "no connection" error when I try to launch the game. I guess we have to wait huh?

This sucks, if I had known of this problem I would have not bought it as I can't play it for free now.

if you really want to play it for free, make a new account and just get the free version with that, and possibly when the problems solved, move the save files over... it may work, or the save files may not transfer...
