l4d2 VAC server hack attempt?

i just attempted to play l4d2 online, and i got this message?

Make sure you don't have "-insecure" on your game launch options.
Remove the folder "addons" (Steam\steamapps\common\left 4 dead
2\left4dead2).
Remove the file "addonlist.txt" (Steam\steamapps\common\left 4 dead
2\left4dead2).
Verify game cache.

Also, if you happen to launch the game from a shortcut, try to run it from the library.

Nope. Let 4 Dead 2 plug-ins, not browser plug-ins.

i followed the instructions you gave me, cache found 2 errors and fixed them, still had the same problem. so i then followed your advice and launched l4d2 from steam libary and it worked (i assume i was using a VAC server, did quick match as before)

Nice to hear it sorted out.
You can always delete that shortcut and make steam make a new one.

Now have fun killing some zombies!
