Update Suspended

So i've had this issue with source filmmaker and CS:GO. But now that i've tried to download just cause 2 and RO2. 1 game got suspended at 99% and the other at 82%.

I recently built a brand new computer and am downloading games on this comp and I'm still getting this issue so it has to be a problem on steam.

I've contacted support waiting on a reply, but that might take awhile and I really want to play these games.

this is the 3 computer i've tried downloading some games on and they don't work. I was able to dload tf2, STALKER, arkham city, ac:r, and sequence just fine. so i'm not quite sure why I can't download these specific games.

Try swapping around the d/l regions, some far out ones rather than just local, as outlined here:

Slow Downloads and Connection to Content Servers

Quote:
1.Start Steam
2.Go to Steam > Settings > Downloads tab
3.Under Download region, select the region that you are in or that is closest to you.
4.You can also try various regions near your location to see if a better connection is available.
Restart Steam after each change and see how you go. Here's a list of servers, look far ones with least demand:

Content Server Stats

When this happens I verify the game cache and %99.99 of the time it fixes the issue.

Closedown/Exit Steam
Locate the steam directory, then find the Steamapps/common/ folder and delete the entire game content folder.
Next delete the clientregistry blob file

Uninstall Steam

Restart PC

ReInstall Steam

Download game.

I would unistall steam but I have a bunch of games already downloaded. It only started doing this once I tried installing SFM.

This happens for me too sometimes. Restarting Steam client or forcing the game to start resolves this.

I don't think using the uninstaller will help either. I suggest you check the following article thoroughly and try to disable or uninstall anything that is listed here:

Programs Which May Interfere with Steam

If nothing comes up then refresh all files and folders located under the "\...\Steam\" path:
  1. Exit the Steam client application.

  2. Browse to the Steam installation folder ("C:\Program Files\Steam" by default).

  3. Delete all of the files and folders except the "SteamApps" folder and "Steam.exe" file.
(Optionally, you can also choose to retain the "Userdata" folder to preserve settings.)
  4. Under the "Steamapps" folder, delete the file "winui.gcf"

  5. Reboot computer and <Right-Click> "Steam.exe" and select [Run As Administrator], log into your account as prompted.

  6. Steam will re-download all the missing deleted files and then start up.
