My monitor is on but the power button keeps flashing while making a low pitch squeak

happened just yesterday when I got home my monitor was on but the power button kept flashing on and off while it made a squeaking noise. I had to turn the 2 small plugs that hold in the cable that goes to the computer. (the blue on both sides) until i found a sort of sweet spot but this problem seems to arise every time I leave my computer idle and the monitor goes blank.

SOunds like you might have a couple capacitors going in the power supply of the monitor.

Happend to my Samsung....if you are handy with a screw driver and are half way mechanically inclined they are super easy to change out.....ton of videos on youtube. search for monitor capacitor change. Most decent electronic stores have themm in stock....radio shack might even have the ones you need, but you'll pay way more for them their

The plug could be loose just a tiny bit and this could be effecting the quality of the power.
