CS:GO Black Screen Crash

When I launch the game from my steam library the game opens into a black screen and I can here the music from the menu playing, but I can't alt-tab, ctrl-alt-del or anything I have to restart my pc.

I've been browsing the forums for a few hours now looking for something to hopefully fix this. The closest thread I found fixed it by turning their antivirus onto game mode, I'm currently not even running one.

I've had the beta for a few months and have never run into any problems, I've had one hardware change since then which was a few days ago. I got a 128g SSD and installed windows onto it, but I don't see that effecting the game I can run all of my other steam game fine.. I tried validating the game files, and I even uninstalled it and re-installed.

PC specs
Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit (Same version as used on previous Hard-drive)
AMD Phenom II x6 1090T @ 3.2gGhz
8gb 1600MHz DDR3
Nvidia GeForce GTX 470 (Have Newest Drivers)
