Question This account appears to have been used for fraudulent activity?

Hello there, i have come back from work, and what surprised me was "This account appears to have been used for fraudulent activity.

Steam Support has flagged your account as potentially having been used for fraudulent activities. Please contact Steam Support so that we can assist you.

This account will have restricted functionality until this issue is resolved.

Purchasing, gifting, trading, and cd-key activation have been disabled.

More info on this topic is available here: Steam Terms of Service Agreement."

In the first place i thought its just some bug..but later on i started realising that im banned. I cant trade, purchase and basically do anything but game. It took me while thinking why i got it, but i really dont know. All i do is trade games and tf2 items via trade window. I buy games using my paypal, which still has funds...so thats the question, whats wrong?

Id appreciate any answer if you guys have experiences witch such thing. Its the first time i see something like that. I never scammed anybody, nor i was ever scammed. (but valve is about to scam me )

Cheers

Other STEAM users like myself can't do anything an have no idea why your account was flagged.

Something else might have happened, sure, but we have no way of knowing. Steam Support is really your only course of action.

You mentioned you use paypal, and that's one of the very common reasons. Paypal probably goofed somewhere, it actually happens a lot more than you'd think.

Contact support and I'm sure they can provide information on what went awry and help you get started in resolving the issue. Forums and moderators are not equipped with that information or ability.

Im thinking as hard as i can, and the only thing what it can be is that i traded bethseda pack for 5x saints row the third franchise, which is from australia. But i never read that its illegal to TRADE games from other regions.... i live in ireland, and if there is way to get game from USA trading tf items for it, or other games i would do it, and so far i still believe that its common sense. Instead of 12.5 euro ill trade it for items worth 10 usd... is it legal? i think so.

Its just .... so inconvient right now, i made giveaways on steamgifts few days back, and soon i will have to give the games to the winners and god knows how... its just so unfair guys at least im working all week so i wont trade much, but still its making me feel like valve/steam is just dirty scumbag company, doing whatever they want...i bet none of you read the whole FAQ they have...ill tell you in short whats in "We can do anything we want without any problems. We can delete your account without telling you why etc etc.." Thats very dodgy

Trading outside steam..

Trading for cash / paypal

Purchasing from the wrong store

Purchase by proxy

I believe these are where the trouble begins that can get your account locked.
