It seems they don't want to bother anymore to fight us with logic and their ideas (if they did it for some moment), but prefer to remove our persons from forum at all

PS: By the way, why is not anymore the forum link on steam site?

If they wanted to "remove" you from the forums, you wouldn't still be posting.

My temporary ban expired, but don't be sad, i have a feeling that will be fixed for your convenience :P

However, i decided to put my cat to push enter on that sad SSA window, this way ending my futile try to make Valve listen to their customers and the good sense voice.

Anyway, Steam chapter is ended for me, that Steam who appeared for me because of Counter Strike, the game who brought the first and the main momentum to Steam and his fame (at least in my country were CS was very popular), even that game was not a true Steamwork game but a Mod.

The irony is that for sure will end too with last CS version as my last game bought here ever.

Yeah buried somewhere in site without direct and facile access.
It's still at that some address, otherwise we cannot access it at all, anymore, right?

There was a link in one of the drop-down lists IIRC.Yes it's still there, under view, at the bottom of the drop-down and it still works. Welcome back siv1iu.

Ahhh sorry to hear you gave in after all the self-righteous impassioned rhetoric of the past few weeks... My heart can now bleed for you.

You know that the whole cat idea doesn't actually work, right? If it did, the entire e-commerce industry would collapse, and pet shop sales would be through the roof!

Proof? Till will not be tried in a trial you cannot decide that. That SSA is not anymore legal than "accidental keyboard activation"

Thanks for keeping the discussion level headed for this long but it's been agreed upon to close to this thread. Legal matters wasn't what the forum was meant for.

If you wish to leave feedback for the new Eula you can do so at this link.

http://store.steampowered.com/ssa_feedback (The link was actually in the news article of the new Eula too)

Please don't make a new topic on the subject too.

Thank you.

Read Steam terms or suffer when the time comes!

Hey Guys!

I thought I will try to highlight a fact from the steam term and conditions agreement that many of us sign blindly.

They have made several changes to it over the years that go unnoticed by most of the young folk here.

The thing is most of the youngsters or even adults tend to hit accept without reading them. This is not advisable anymore as more and more companies are inserting clauses in the terms which before were unheard of.

A big example is listed below and I hope everyone understands it as it can cause a shock when you actually get into an issue with steam.

All us already know that how slow and unhelpful the support can be at times.

Basically no matter what steam does to you ... you cannot sue them in court and you are agreeing to everything they are saying and all the restrictions they put on you even when you spend money. You can still take them to court but will take more time, which in a way still gives considerable amount of hope.

This is a section from terms that you agreed to:

12. DISPUTE RESOLUTION/BINDING ARBITRATION/CLASS ACTION WAIVER

Most user concerns can be resolved by use of our Steam support site at https://support.steampowered.com/. If we are unable to resolve your concerns and a dispute remains between you and Valve, this Section explains how we agree to resolve it.

YOU AND VALVE AGREE TO RESOLVE ALL DISPUTES AND CLAIMS BETWEEN US IN INDIVIDUAL BINDING ARBITRATION. THAT INCLUDES, BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO, ANY CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO: (i) ANY ASPECT OF THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN US; (ii) THIS AGREEMENT; OR (iii) YOUR USE OF STEAM, YOUR ACCOUNT OR THE SOFTWARE. IT APPLIES REGARDLESS OF WHETHER SUCH CLAIMS ARE BASED IN CONTRACT, TORT, STATUTE, FRAUD, UNFAIR COMPETITION, MISREPRESENTATION OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY.

However, this Section does not apply to the following types of claims or disputes, which you or Valve may bring in any court with jurisdiction: (i) claims of infringement or other misuse of intellectual property rights, including such claims seeking injunctive relief; and (ii) claims related to or arising from any alleged unauthorized use, piracy or theft.

This Section does not prevent you from bringing your dispute to the attention of any federal, state, or local government agencies that can, if the law allows, seek relief from us for you.

An arbitration is a proceeding before a neutral arbitrator, instead of before a judge or jury. Arbitration is less formal than a lawsuit in court, and provides more limited discovery. It follows different rules than court proceedings, and is subject to very limited review by courts. The arbitrator will issue a written decision and provide a statement of reasons if requested by either party. YOU UNDERSTAND THAT YOU AND VALVE ARE GIVING UP THE RIGHT TO SUE IN COURT AND TO HAVE A TRIAL BEFORE A JUDGE OR JURY."""

I just wanted to bring this to everyone's attention as it is quite serious.

Peace!!!!

Do you know how much lawyers charge?

It isn't cost effective to pay a lawyer to recover digital games.

This also was discussed to death, and the thread locked, when it originally was added to the tos.

Every egocentric kid thinks a judge will seriously consider hearing grievances about what they think is unfair.

Then the real world sets in and every judge will throw out a case with your vidya gaemez.

Stupid topic. Stupid train of thought. Jarate off.
