Good game, except for the memory leaks.
I have really been enjoying this game but it is getting to be a real drag having to close & restart it every 30 turns or so to keep the memory leak(s) from turning it into frozen glue.
And no, this is not a "expanding game eats more memory" issue, either. I can take a game that is lagging into madness, save it, exit to desktop, reboot and it runs as fast as Turn 1 again... for a while. Then it bogs right back down again over time and (on average) 30 turns later I've got to reload it again. I assume that the developers are still interested in this game (for now), so I'd like to ask that they bump up that issue on their priority list. Everything else, though, is just fine. No complaints. Really, really fun except for that memory leak problem. |

yep, alt-tabbing also throws some wonkiness into the mix.

I'm running this on an old XP system and don't seem to be experiencing the issues that you are. I have a mere 3 Gigs of ram and a 1 GB video card. The only slow up is by virtue of the fact the game gets "busier" as it progresses, but not more so to me at least, than any other game I play. Wonder if it has to do with the OS?

Some games it is an advantage to run in a Window when a game allows it. That way you can move between the game and the rules manual (especially with a new game). Warlock is not the only game that gets wonky with the tab key, unfortunately.

I haven't encountered any slowdown myself. How much ram do you have? I'm using 8gb.
Alt-tabbing does needs me to reload the game though because it messes up the map. |
