Repeat setup on every start fixed - New run time error
I removed all versions of XNA Framework and NET right back to the NET 2.0 install by Kung Fu, then installed NET back again using the accumulative install to 3.5 and adding the twelve updates afterwards.
XNA provided with Kung Fu installed itself there were no more re-installation problems after that upon start up. However, after about twenty minutes of play, either right before or after game enters or exits a stage I crash to desktop with a 2.0 run time error: Event Type: Error Event Source: .NET Runtime 2.0 Error Reporting Event Category: None Event ID: 5000 Date: 8/4/2012 Time: 9:03:45 PM User: N/A Computer: Description: EventType clr20r3, P1 kungfustrike.exe, P2 1.0.0.0, P3 501bbae7, P4 hurricanerelease, P5 1.0.0.0, P6 501bbae7, P7 16d8, P8 1f, P9 system.nullreferenceexception, P10 NIL. I apologize about the crash, that is strange. We will look into this and see what we can find.
Does it crash over and over, or was this a one-time thing? Thank you for your patience and support. |

Kinda seems like the 2.0 runtime throws itself off track after playing for more than fifteen minutes. |

Are you still having crashing issues?
Our developer told me that he has resolved most individual issues people are having, so I just want to make sure. |

Sorry, haven't played it in awhile. Got swamped over in game from GamersGate Summer sale...will have a look see to see if I'm still having stability issues with the 2.0 runtime - was there an update?

Nope.
I think the difference to me and nearly everyone else playing this is that I never shut down my PC and I only reboot once every three days. Basically a runtime is dropping itself while playing - sometimes during the game and sometimes upon exit. Rebooting the system and starting the game again fixes the problem. Could probably just reactivate the process again from Services if I knew which process it was but there's still the issue of the game dropping during a difficult accomplishment. I'm no tech guru but I am wondering if perhaps the game might run a bit fast for my single core SSE1 chip therefor allowing me to run the game perfectly, at full frame rate, for fifteen minutes or so and then getting tired and kicking one of the processes. |
