The Orange Box: Now on Games on Demand for $20
Just found out today, I'm pretty surprised. Maybe this could be the start of a positive relationship between Valve and M$.

Oh well, I still hope something happens. I don't really mind for updates right now, but I just want them to get along for the foreseeable future

Meh, it's gonna do terrible. Anybody who would have wanted to play TOB would have found a used copy for 5$ by now, and the game's so old that it's not going to spark any interest anyway, particularly when a major component is free to play on PC.
Part of me want to know what took so damn long. Part of me wonders how much of it is Valve's decision and how much is MS's decision. Part of me questions who would be assed to bother with getting the game in the store at this point. |

Portal 2 & Left 4 Dead 2 were both released on XBL games on demand in the last week or two, so maybe Valve is just now giving their Xbox 360 catalogue the digital treatment?

Yes, it would be really nice if we got some new players in the TF2 community this way. At the very least, perhaps we'll get more games going for a few weeks. Maybe the people who download the game will be more likely to have good connections to host
? And I think it's great that Valve is releasing their catalog on Demand. However, I wish they would start releasing some of their older games on the Arcade store- for example, Counter Strike, Day of Defeat, HL1 and its expansions, TFC, HL2-DM, etc. |

Just between the day before yesterday and today after it has been released to download the leader boards have already gone up 3000 people. This is good.

This might be too little too late, but it's still not a bad thing.

Anyways yes it is going up significantly every day. The question remains , are these people staying and playing tf2 or just playing once and never coming back. Edit: the leader boards have gone up by 11,000+ people since the game was re-released. Last edited by Chill Dude: 08-13-2012 at 09:30 PM. |
