Can you be banned for using MacType?

I'm a graphics designer and the current Windows font render is terrible, so I downloaded a program called MacType which is a better more smoother font renderer. As far as I know, it doesn't do anything but either run as a service or edit the registry to make the fonts look smoother. So my question is, can you be banned for using this with/while a VAC enabled game is open?

Thats a very good question. I do like to know too. This may come in handy when costumizing your client so that it looks unique :3

So, it should not trigger a VAC ban on you since it doesn't do much besides change the rendering of the fonts.

Always ask this:
Does it work with/modify the EXE/DLL? Yes, then Don't use. No, then it's all good.
