Why Steam Didnt Add the Game Until now to Pre-Order

The Game Must Out in 10 August

And We Must Have Pre-load Before The Release Date

Unfortunately I don't expect it to appear on the store until its released on Friday.

My retail copy was dispatched today, I'm 99% sure it's a steamworks title.

Not all games on Steam offer prepurchase/preload.

It made the registry a couple of weeks ago, but never seemed to go live. Activision just wanted people to wait until it came out, maybe? I haven't seen any locations that had a digital version for pre-order only physical retail copies.

Doubt that changes before release.

If the publisher doesn't want it up until it's out, it won't be listed. They say no pre-sale, we get no pre-sale.

Aside from Preorder app there are no mentions of TASM in Steam's CDR. I have the feeling that PC release will be delayed.

The game could possibly not use Steam, as other Spiderman games in the past haven't.

Just because it uses Steamworks, does not mean it will be sold on the Steam store.

I want this game, but I'm not really worried right now, because I haven't seen the movie yet, and the game is a sequel

That doesn't make any sense. There are no Steamworks games that are not sold on the Steam store. Why wouldn't sell them on the store when they require Steam?

Anyway, the game simply doesn't have a pre-order. Happens with lots of games on Steam. It might still have a release discount, though. We'll just have to wait for it.

Pretty sure one of the NBA 2Ksomething or other games was never sold on Steam.
