Thumbs up The PAYDAY secret - a theory & what we know summation.

Version 4.0: PAYDAY Counterfeit Secret
______________________________________

Yes, there is a secret confirmed from the OVERKILL development crew. This post is from Bo on page 145 of this thread.

OVERVIEW:

CLUES, HINTS & EVIDENCE:

General Clues:
  • Compass rug in Wilson's entry way
  • Map of Bolivia, on Mitchell's kitchen table
  • Paintings of The Last Supper.
  • Mitchell's back patio resembling said painting - in terms of architecture.
  • Pictures of Green Bridge and Undercover stairwell.
  • Reflections depicting the chandeliers in (what appears) to be Mitchell's entrance hallway and dining table.

Despite what you may think, the Easter eggs of the trucks from Slaughterhouse and Left 4 Dead characters are very highly likely to be just that, and nothing more.

Bo's Hints:
  • French
  • Royalty
  • Fleur-De-Lis
  • Printing Money
  • Slove
  • Circles
  • Fish
  • "Like a Dan Brown book"

A link to Bo's posting history.

Callahan's Hints:
While I know some people have chosen to ignore Callahan, I have not. The morse code we got:

FNER SI TNHT UFrOG EHT AI FDoS QFAO EHT SI EH , Feel AnÄ ANm N EREHG EÄNFP N SI HÄNEV N

The closest we have come is:

"A beach is a place where a man can feel, he is the only soul in the world that is real."

This is part of some lyrics to The Who's song "Bell Boy".

The other two parts in between the chatter state "north by northeast" and "undercover operative" in the smaller gaps.

Static Images:

The first is played through the radios, before the mission is started. The "PAYDAY" song plays twice and then there is some static.

Static Image 1 (Related Thread)

Murua is aurrm backwards, which means gold in Latin. We do not have a solid connection yet for the boxes or arrows surrounding the word, or that for Baldwin and 1174. We have Canterbury Cathedral burning down in 1174, where a Baldwin was involved about a decade later. Or we have a Baldwin who was a King of Jerusalem during 1174. There are many options, nothing proven at this stage.

The second one was done by starting mission, and still in stealth phase, having the four crew sit on the stools in Wilson's basement.

Static Image 2 (Related Thread)

Rearranged we get:

s16 33 42 26
yg gd ra sil
68 40 48 w36

Of which Yggrasil, there are all sorts of things related to that which you can read in the thread related and here. Too much to retype.

The numbers relation to longitude / latitude which gives up co-ordinates to Tiwanaku, Bolivia.

For the part of Undercover, we have noticed that we simply cannot get access to the 1st Floor. The signage is there, but there is no way to get to it.

Sanskrit:

We have the boxes in Slaughter house, that read along the lines of "He walks, She writes".

The ones in Undercover have yet to still be translated.

Game files:

While not a direct hint, some people have gone into the game files.

We have had a list of the subtitled lines, and the lines that Bain has.

It has been stated from the development team that we will not find what we are looking for by no-clipping, but instead have to "trigger" it ourselves.

WHAT HAS BEEN DONE:

We've had dozens of people playing this, and other levels for the last month. Some examples are:
  • Car number plates have given us no further clues.
  • Killing the two sets of cops.
  • Forcing the police on their knees, but not handcuffing themselves.
  • Forcing the two sets of cops to handcuff themselves.
  • Letting the cops walk around and avoiding them.
  • Do any of the above, but with only one of the two sets of cops.
  • Attempting to answer the phone.
  • Leaving any hostages loose.
  • Not killing hostages.
  • Killing hostages.
  • Only activating Mitchell's box.
  • Only activating Wilson's box.
  • Starting the mission before you talk to Michell.
  • Starting the mission while Mitchell is talking to you.
  • Shooting the telephone poles.
  • Hiding in the pool, or any space for that matter, and pretending you are not there.
  • Fixing the pipes.
  • Shooting any known objects in the map. Pretty sure we're shot them all by now.
  • Shooting any paintings - especially ones that lie in a bathtub for whatever reason, inside Wilson's bathroom.
  • Wondering why that one painting on Wilson's living room wall does not fall down.
  • Shooting any rugs.
  • Shooting any parts of the pool.
  • Shooting any pictures.
  • Shooting any clocks.
  • Interacting with any cars on the map.
  • Interacting with anything inside either of the children's rooms.
  • Running outside of the local vicinity, there is an invisible wall.
  • Shooting the sky, in hopes there maybe a bird/plane/Superman/God up there that triggers something.
  • Pre-rigging traps around valves, power boxes and sewer entrences.
  • Either of the kids doors being closed, revealing a "supposed secret" inside.
  • Bribing the cops with the necklaces.
  • Leaving the necklaces.
  • Taking the necklaces.
  • Anything to do with the boat.
  • Surrendering to the police.
  • Cannot use the crowbar on anything else than what is provided.
  • That includes the sewers.
  • Sitting around enjoying Mitchell's hospitality.
  • Attempting to get back into the starting van at any point.
  • Attempt anything in the streets, when in "stealth mode".
  • Nothing outside of the house properties, near the streets.
  • There are no cameras in the palm trees, nor coconuts. Even then, you can't climb them.
  • Sitting on the four stools at the bar.

TL;DR: There is to be found, and I am going to find it. I'm just voicing what I know so that others can bounce off it.

If you really need a proper TL;DR:
  • Compass rug in Wilson's foyer.
  • Painting of 'Last Supper'.
  • Painting resembles Mitchell's patio.
  • Blow it open? It sits above the only locked room in the map.
  • Car number plates are covered hints?
  • Anagram of Bodhi's?
  • I would prefer you to read what I wrote down, because I took the time for you guys...sniff...

Bhodi is a reference to Patrick Swayze's character in Point Break. I think it's very possible you're reading way too much into all this.

Quite probably.

There are a lot of a movie/culture references, and while that was a good movie, I was just looking for anything that I could make a connection to.

(NB: I do not know the Bible, so maybe someone else can help?)
The 7th book of the bible is Judges (...fitting for a game about violating the law. You might be on to something here. More than likely coincidence.)

I have no idea what CHAPTER of Judges we're looking at, so I'll work through them in order.

I found this-

http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/...:4&version=NIV

That's got 3 lines. I doubt it's relevant at all though. Unless "The earth shook and the heavens poured"... Wait. Explosions. Grenade launcher breaking walls. Heavens poured- shoot the roof?

No other verses are even long enough to have 3 lines, let alone contain anything interesting.

Twenty bucks says this is a coincidence. But yet... it's too perfect at the same time.

I think I found something that may have something to do with this, not completely sure.

I found this painting in the bathtub of the blue house, can't remember whose house it was, but the inside was blue.

It looks like the "Undercover" map, although I cannot be too sure.

To the post below mine:

That's what I did for the achievement Pacifist, all I did was run around and got lucky I suppose.

It is, and if you look around you can see ones from Green Bridge as such as well.

This is probably true. But OVERKILL, especially Bo, seems to want to torment me, so I will play the role of conspiracy nut until either a) I find the secret or b) they offer me a job (and hush money).

I'm guessing the former one will happen first.

I have an idea.

Spoiler:
This is all hype for nothing, Bo has been known to enjoy our suffering to the extent he calls the cops 'Team Bo'

I am pretty sure there is more to this than, "lol just run around"

That does not strike me as a fun challenge, but rather just something outrageously tedious.

Also, both houses having some random knack for extensively used maps and exploration just sort of seems too... odd.

That was said as a joke, but there is a picture of the FWB vault mixed in with the DLC pics on the Wolf Pack Steam store page. Why the hell would there be a pic of FWB there? Maybe coincidence, but it is strange.

We're probably thinking WAY to hard on this, but what the hell, it's fun.
