Formating Second SSD?
I have a new second SSD which is recognised in my bios & disk management but i can't seem to get the format option, all it says when i right click the mouse is "New simple volume" http://img39.imageshack.us/img39/1783/newssd.png
Is it ok to use this option or is there a way to get the format option? |

You have to partition the drive before you can format it. So, yes you need to do that operation first.

Zero writting a drive will just fill it with 0s. You need to do a secure erase. |

Writing zeros (or whatever) is not the same as a secure erase. Also most newer SSDs should support the trim command, so you don't have to worry about that.
