Question Battlefield 3 in Steam?

I'm Spanish, my English is bad and I used the Google translator. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Hello to all friends.

I wonder if Battlefield 3 will be on Steam in the future.

If you could give me some information I would be very grateful.

I really like the Battlefield 3, but I just like to use Steam. So I wonder if there is any possibility that you are on Steam in the future. As has happened with Crysis 2.

I think Steam and Origin have discussed their games, or something, not sure.

Maybe in a few years?

Thanks in advance for your help, time and effort.

Greetings.

Maybe when they stop producing DLC for it.

Just use Origin. The program isn't going to murder your family or send the soviets after you like some mouthbreathers on the forums think.

I don't think EA will release any games on Steam that they know will sell anyways, like the BF series for example. I base this on the fact that they are promoting Origin heavily and big titles like BF that are bound to the services bring in more people to their user base.
Games that aren't as high profile from EA may get on Steam after a while but not at first like Crysis 2 to maximize profits.

But remember this is my opinion based on the facts and not necessarily the future.

it was a huge disappointment so hopefully it doesn't come to steam, don't want DICE getting anymore money.

Unlikely but none of us can read the future.

Add Origin as a non steam game, rename it to Battlefield 3. Launch Origin thru Steam, go into game, you have Steam Overlay in BF3.??? Profit. Well you still have to use origin, but if you want the overlay this is how you get it.

Crysis 2 is only on Steam because they aren't making anymore dlc or supporting it anymore so....

Exactly this.

BUT, after some these big-title games get older and they stop doing DLCs for them, they might collect the game with all its DLCs, pack it in an Ultimate/Complete Edition, and put it on Steam.
Also, there's another but here. Take Mass Effect 2 for example. All its DLCs are out, it's a bit old (taking the fact that ME3 is the main ME title now), but they still haven't done this Ultimate Edition thing for it.

EA is very supporting their Origin client and have backlashed steam a few times, i highly doubt it will come onto Steam. As far as i know all future EA products will go onto Origin like the new MOH Warfight and their BF4 that will go beta shortly after.

Same as what I do , then I forget origin exists and can still enjoy the game

I don't think they will, hopefully they wake up to it. They lose sales by not selling on steam, might sound trivial but I won't buy most games unless they are on Steam. BF3 interested me but not enough to buy it on Origin.

Origin isn't really BAD, its just a very bad IDEA. I have several friends who run Origin through steam to play games like ME3. I don't think BF3 will ever come to Steam, at least any time soon.
