Being banned and buying a source game?

I'm thinking of buying Counter Strike Global Offensive, but my brothers account is vac banned, will i still be able to play it if i bought it.

Source bans will not apply to CS:GO

However, note that CS:GO will have server admins. These admins may not allow you to play on their servers using various criteria (any VAC bans, lists like sourcebans, etc.)

You should just create your own account. Accounts are meant to be used by one person only.

As long as your account and your brothers account are seperate accounts... then it will no effect on you whatsoever!

(Assuming he doesn't download files that are marked as cheats and places them into your game directory without you knowing of course....)
