on pc win 8 should be NP, on win8 RT- Re Tard edition dont know, but since its made for arm CPU's instead of x86 or x64 and they say win8 Re Tard edition can only run apps made in metro language(or whatever they call it now since the name change) i would say no, but just a guess.

Since installing Windows 8 my CS:GO randomly disconnects me from servers. To try and resolve this I've formatted. Deleted Steam and downloaded CS:GO again from scratch. Changed rates. Run steam/cs in Admin mode and with compatibility.

I have a ticket open with support for this but it doesn't look good.

Basically I join a server and it all works fine.. then I randomly get DC'd from that server and cant reconnect to it unless I restart STEAM. DC's are between 2 hours and 30 seconds apart. Generally when it does it once it keeps doing it over and over till I rage and stop trying.

Anyone else?

No problems so far with Windows 8 and CS: Go. It runs smoothly, even better than on Windows 7. No compability issues.

Unhappy

I would also like to back up godbot. There is a compatibility issue with disconnection. I am running Windows 8 on a rather decent pc. (130fps avergae) and I have a 60mb internet connection. On some servers I can play for hours no problems, on others I can join and play for half an hour then everything stops and I am told I have lost connection, other times it is 30 seconds after joining.

I would also like to point out that from the steam server browser and indeed the in-game server browser, I can see the server running and the scores and times of each connected player updating, but I will not be able to rejoin until I "time out" on the server. (Usually 30 seconds or so) after my initial disconnect.

Please fix this valve. This game has been nothing but buggy since release, it really should not of been released, if anything it should be beta and the beta should of been an alpha, but then again Valve hardly have a proven track record for any released game....

Some users have reported problems, but these where fixed by running compatibility mode.

So if you encounter problems, try that.

I am running on windows 8 with no disconnects or any abnormalities. My specs: windows 8, 64bit, 16gb memory, i7 processor, geforce 560ti. In fact, all my games on origin and steam are working flawlessly. I did gain +15 fps on CSGO by going to windows 8 as well.
