[BETA]Removing Nicknames

Is it possible to remove the nickname? I'm currently in the Community and Steam client beta. When I use the client to add a nickname and just create a blank nickname it seems to remove it. But this is only temporary as the nickname comes back after a while. I'm unable to change it through the Community webpage.

At the moment there's no option to actually remove it properly, you have to set a new nickname and just delete the one you had in place to get rid of it for a little while. It should hopefully be fixed soon (would be even better if they just let you set alases for friends that appear before their actual display name instead of showing after which is flawed).

The only reason I tried the nicknames is because I thought it would replace their name, not that it would be placed to the side of their name.
