EYE Websites + Weapon Advertisements

I have been excited about EYE since before it was released (and still am) but my favorite thing about the lead up to the release of EYE was the two amazing website they created. Both of which are now defunct;

www.angelcorp-terraforming.com

and

http://www.metanarcho.org/

These websites were hands-down the coolest thing since sliced bread, particularly metanarcho that suddenly changes the whole page to a blue screen with a "YOU HAVE BEEN TRACED BY THE FEDERAL POLICE !!!" warning message. Did anyone else get to see these website? The WayBack Machine has a cache of them but nothing work on them anymore.

Both websites pestered visitors with pop-up advertisements (see links below) for in games weapons, the same ones you can see on billboards in game. I think these would make some pretty rad posters but there are no quality versions available; is it possible for them to be made available?

Never heard of these sites, sad I missed them.

I only heard of E.Y.E. when it was released and read a few reviews, and back then I didnt have a gaming pc (it died still hadnt replaced it) so I got the game pretty later after it was released.

I saw a couple EYE trailers when they were first put up, was extremely excited, eventually forgot about the game and then holy it's released already? Then downloaded it and tried it out, liked it, bought it, bought copies for my friends.

Both websites were related to old news and after a year we decided to let them die since there was no reason to keep them alive anymore.
But I confirm, the blue screen was really fun^^.

Concerning the popup and billboard images, I’ll see if it’s possible to find them in a better quality. I’ll keep you updated.

The websites were a really fun and engaging way to find out more about the game world prior to release. I am surprised more companies don't this kind of stuff. Also I very nearly had a heart attack the first time the blue screen 'you have been traced' message appeared.

That would be awesome. I think it's really good thing that you have a presence on the forums and care for the community.

Never saw those, but still, that's a nice way to advertise a game, very unique and creative, StreumOn itself is pretty creative for doing E.Y.E, such unique game

You could extract the vtf files of all the advertisements ingame! Atleast then you had them in a tga file, though I'm not sure what kind of resolution they have!

That is good thinking but as you say it depends on the resolution, I also have no idea how to extract them but I assume it would be a function inside the Valve Hammer Editor?

Streumon may still be able to provide hi resolution copies.

The only thing you need to extract the images in a vtf file is a program called "VTF Edit", but you would also need a image editing program, since they're exported into tga files.
But yeah, to get them in a high resolution format, Streumon would have to give them out.
