ALT+SHIFT

This problem is not new. The fact that when you play the game, and you in the STEAM someone writes, and you are responsible. Start writing, and you see something that is not in the language, you have to go back to the beginning of the game to change the layout, and then just go back to the STEAM (SHIFT + TAB), and write the message. Do the same for many years (so can fix it!)

Такая проблема существует уже давно. То, что когда играешь в игру, и тебе в STEAM кто-нибудь пишет, и ты отвечаешь. Начинаешь писать, и видишь то что не на том языки, тебе с начало надо вернутся в игру изменить раскладку, а потом только зайти обратно в с STEAM (SHIFT+TAB), и писать сообщение. У же на протяжение многих лет (так может исправить это !!)

He says it is hard to write messages in Steam overlay. Problem is inability to change keyboard layout from one to another using common key combination of ALT+SHIFT. Only way it works is to exit steam overlay, press ALT+SHIFT in game and go back to steam overlay which is annoying.

Well, actually you may right click in message box and choose language there.
У меня получается сменить язык через контекстное меню: правый клик на поле где пишешь сообщение и выбираешь язык. Еще пунто свитчер помогает.
