selling a steam account! how?

Hello I am asking advice steam games I understand it may be against the rules but I am wondering if the new EU Law changes if I can sell my account because I rightfully paid for the game I own. Surly I /We should be allowed because It didn't say in the terms and conditions we are borrowing our steam games when we purchase them I am sure if you buy a game on disk we can re sell the disc long as its not a prohibited copy etc but has the EU law allowed us to sell them can a steam admin please reply thanks

We don't own any games. We own the licenses to play our games. It is still against the EULA. As far as the new EU Law goes, I don't know what to tell you since I don't know much about it.

If you want "steam admin" to reply contact Steam Support.

But the EULA says you cannot sell, trade, give, or otherwise transfer Steam accounts as they are personal.

As long as it is against the rules of the TOS you agreed to, you can't do it.

Quote:
Buying, Selling, or Trading Accounts

Accounts which have been bought, sold or traded will be suspended. This includes any other accounts in your possession at the time of the sale or trade, regardless of whether those accounts were also sold or not.
Contact support if you want more info.

Did you even read them?

What's the point? They'll just repeat what has already been said. No need to slow the support down even more.

If you can't play games then maybe you shouldn't buy tons of them.
2 options:

1. Play them.
2. Don't play them.

You can play them. That is all. If you don't have time to play them, then I am afraid that you wasted your money.

Nothing. They are yours forever or until the rules of the game ownership are changed.

If the EULA is against the law then the EULA can not be enforced. If the law says you have the right to sell digital content then I don't care what is in the EULA, it cannot be enforced.

In any case this is a new law and as such is untested. The law as written does not have enough teeth but at some point Valve might have to include an option that allows you to sell your games and transfer them to another account if the law ever progresses in the direction it is intended to. If you have to sell the entire account to transfer the game the law may or may not back you up.

Personally if I was intending on selling a Steam accout I would not tell Valve.

You are out of the loop sir. Read the news once in awhile. It has changed in EU.

It is against the Steam Subscriber Agreement to Sell Steam accounts or Steam games.
