Installed Nvidia 660 Ti now crashing

I just installed my new Nvidia 660 Ti and the latest drivers (305.68) and restarted, and now my PC is crashing when trying to load Payday. Anyone have this issue? A fix for it?

Is it only payday that's crashing?

If so, email both Overkill and Nvidia telling them what's up [I see the 305 driver is for the GTX 660 Ti, so I'm guessing you can't use any other driver].

So far, yes it is the only game crashing. I've backed down to Gigabyte's drivers on their site (304.87), and same issue.

So I deleted and redownloaded/installed the game. It then launched fine and not immediately crashing like before, but then when I got to Play Online, it crashes like before. I did the NVidiA fix in the Sticky of installing the DirectX and Physix that came with Payday, and now it crashes at start up just like before I reinstalled.

I was able to play this game just fine before I install my new NVidia GeForce 660 Ti. Now I'm not able to play it at all, but able to play other games just fine.

Windows 7 x64

Maybe delete the renderer_settings.xml in Users\YourName\AppData\Local\PAYDAY

It stores graphics card information too. =o

I opened is up and it had my 660 in there.

Went ahead and deleted it anyway, no change. There is some crash logs in there though, can't really understand them.

Turns out my avast! anti-virus was the issue. I turn it off, things are working now. Odd that it wasn't an issue before.

Turns out it still crashes, but only intermittently... I'll be able to get in a game, play through maps, no issues, but someones it take me opening the game 6 times to be able to get to that point, but once I'm able to join a lobby, I get no issues.
