Port opening for Dark Souls coop?

Would it help?

In case it would, what are the ports required to be opened by Dark Souls?

Thanks.

Didn't open any port and allready got 1 invade and 1 coop, so don't think it's needed.

This comes from: Games for Windows - LIVE: Description of Firewall Ports you must open to connect to LIVE

Port forwarding must be enabled on the TCP port 80.
Port forwarding must be enabled on the UDP and TCP port 3074.
Port forwarding must be enabled on the UDP port 88
Port forwarding must be enabled on the UDP and TCP port 53
Port forwarding must be enabled on the TCP port 443

I have all those ports forwarded, and UPnP enabled, but it's still been hit and miss with me. I've invaded once, got summoned twice, and summoned another twice. Though 75% of the time I get 'summoning failed'. I think it's more to do with the games multiplayer just being really picky about the connections of both people.

With regards to the ports, how do you add them when your requested to add a server IP address? For instance, these are what I'm asked to add a port. Can someone explain what I put in for each?

Service Name:
Service Type: TCP, UDP, or TCP/UDP
Server IP Address:
Start Public Port:
End Public Port:
Private Port:

Thanks much!

You need your internal IP. Go to Start>Run -> type in "ipconfig" and then look out for the very first IPv4 adress.

Those instructions are for windows 7, in xp it was something other than ipconfig...ipcfg maybe? No idea, but if you don't have win7 look it up

Service name doesn't matter, just write Dark Souls or something, Type just check both and Start/End Port are the ones mentioned here. so basically an entry where start and end is the same, times how many ports you need to open. (ie one for 80, one for 88 and so on)
