Buttons function but not Joysticks

I'm attempting to make the ps3 controller work with cs:go, it was possible in 1.6. I've got the buttons to work but the when I move the joysticks nothing appears to be happening. Am I missing something or is the values to low? 0 - 255 is the range I get from a testing program.

Code:
joystick 1
joy_advanced "1"
joy_name "PS3 Configuration"

joy_advaxisx "3"
joy_advaxisy "1"
joy_advaxisr "4"
joy_advaxisz "2"

joy_display_input 1 //Debug in console

joy_forwardthreshold "0.15" //Specifies the dead-zone for movement forward and back.

joy_sidethreshold "0.15" //Specifies the dead-zone for movement side to side.

joy_pitchthreshold "0.15" //Specifies the dead-zone for looking up and down.

joy_yawthreshold "0.15" //Specifies the dead-zone for looking left or right.

joy_forwardsensitivity "-1" //Specifies the amount of joystick movement required for maximum movement speed forward and back.

joy_sidesensitivity "1" //Specifies the amount of joystick movement required for maximum movement speed side to side.

joy_pitchsensitivity "1" //Specifies the speed or ratio used when looking up and down.

joy_yawsensitivity "-1" //Specifies the speed or ratio used when looking left or right.

joy_response_move "1" //Quadratic
joy_response_look "0" //Linear

joy_lowend "1" //Specifies the amount of the controller’s physical range you wish to section off as the “inner zone”.
joy_lowmap "1" //Specifies the amount of the controller’s true range is mapped to the “inner zone”.

joy_accelscale "0.6"
joy_autoaimdampenrange "0"
joy_autoaimdampen "0"

joyadvancedupdate

//End Stick

//Binding Buttons

// Left Trigger 1 trigger
bind "JOY11" "+aimmode"

// Right Trigger 1 trigger
bind "JOY12" "+attack"

// X button
bind "JOY15" "+jump"

// SQUARE button
bind "JOY16" "+reload"

// CIRCLE button
bind "JOY14" "+use"

// TRIANGLE button
bind "JOY13" "lastinv"

// L3 button
bind "JOY2" "+duck"

// R3 button
bind "JOY3" "+attack2"

// Start button
bind "JOY4" "+voicerecord"

// Select button
bind "JOY1" "+showscores"

// dpad up
bind "JOY5" "invprev"

// dpad right
bind "JOY6" "cl_ge_gameplay_help"

// dpad down
bind "JOY7" "invnext"

// dpad left
bind "JOY8" "IMPULSE 100"

+jlook // allow looking up and down

Isn't there an option in game to use a gamepad?

Also make sure your controller is setup properly I use MotionJoy and I sometimes have to mess with it a bit before the joysticks work. Test in another game and see if it works.

It supports the 360 controller out of box but I don't have one. The controller is functioning fine, I can use a program to map it to the mouse but I would like to have the analog sticks work natively.
