accidentally deleted item

Hi. I accidentally deleted the robot scout hat I just won because I didn't understand the deletion screen. I've heard there's a way of getting it back. Who do I contact? Thank you.

I've never had a full backpack before, so I don't know. Dumb, I guess. Items have trackable histories so they should know which items I had and deleted, shouldn't they?

You can try asking Steam Support and see if you can get it back.

Don't be surprised if they don't grant it back. What exactly is there not to understand when it prompts you with a verification that says, "Are you sure you want to delete this item?"

If they did, Vintage Bills wouldn't exist.

Deleting a robot scout hat rather than a normal weapon makes no sense. If they're smart they'll see it my way.

But seriously, I have heard the full backpack page isn't 100% clear, but the distinction between "Delete this" and "Delete something else" should've been fair enough.

I deleted dozens of items a few times because I didn't know you could craft them. I live with the pain everyday. You should too.

Hey guy, your joke was fantastic, it worked really well. But seriously, the problem is your new item shows at the top and then you can pick things to delete from beneath, which I did, but I didn't realise it was deleting the item at the top. Just a badly designed screen.

I see a lot of bitterness from people in this thread, and that's pretty sad.

Well, I mean, at this point, there's really not a lot of support you could get from us. Is the screen badly designed? Yes. Can we do anything about it? No.

The most you can do is ask Steam Support and hope they agree with you.
