Question How to save a game in Gmod 13?

This may be a stupid question, but how do you save a single player game? Like if I were to work on a construct, or a movie, how would I save my session so I can open it and work on it some more another time?
I've looked all over and I haven't found an answer. I know it's possible because the Steam Workshop is full of people's saves.

Right now it doesn't look like Gmod 13 is saving. Any 13 beta stuff should be asked on the Facepunch forum, there's no official word here.

Is this a recent bug, or has this been happening for a while?

I found a temporary fix, press F6 to save, and then in the console type 'load', then hit the space key. You'll then see a command saying 'load quick', or depending how many times you saved, 'load quick 01', 'load quick 02', and so forth. Pick one and it should load.

Actually you can save. While you're in game Open up the console (Default key is the ~ key) and type in gm_save, and then a save state should show up in your Saves menu.

I know this is an old thread but I didn't know how to do this either and this is the first page I found. You can save the game by going into the saves tab in the spawn menu (Q menu) then click Save Game and it will save with a screenshot of what you are looking at.

You can recall the save from the main menu by clicking the saves button then clicking My Saves. You can also do that from the ingame menu.

I feel so stupid missing that out all those times ...

Are all of your ragdolls and items posed or are they still T-poses? Which apparently you CAN get around, but... has yet to work for me. Can't even find the last save if you want to load.

Man, just press Q, and hold it. You've got tabs on the top of the opened window. Props, weapons, objects, NPC, vehicles... etc. And at the end there is tab "Saves". Just open it and hit "Save game" button on the left. All saves will be accessible from main menu.

Right, I know that. They don't work. (also, chicka )

They save *in a way*, but you have to go and click on the ragdolls 'where they are actually saved' (if you can remember where they're posed instead of where they become visible), to remove them from their T-pose and put them back into their prior save state. This has happened since 13 was released for me, I don't know that it's a pervasive "everyone has this t-pose issue" thing.

The saves "are there", but they aren't as saved as I'd like. It's kind of like saving a game and it thinks you're only wanting to load the checkpoint, do you know what I mean?
