Odd title isn’t it? So, you may have heard us mention that we have a private build of Flight we are testing on Steam and we are looking for people to help us test. I will be contacting some of you fine community members to see if you want to assist in testing this QFE build of Flight. If have been hitting persistent crashes (the non tree/mountain side related kind) please email us at MSFlight@microsoft.com so we can see if some of you out there would be a good test case for us.

As Solicest and I have stated, this is not new content, it’s not new planes or changes to the Sim base for Flight, it is a test for a patch that we hope to release to help address some crash bugs.

And are we allowed to apply for testing, or is it just random?

What kind of crash is this? The "Flight Application has stopped working" one?

Hm, if this is the case, I've gotten this a couple times, like 3 or 4. I thought it was my PC though.

I get that error once in while. Rarely during startup, most of the times mid-flight.

If this is the reason of the beta, I'll sign up.

Same here. On loading sometimes it will say Flight is not responding for a few seconds but it always loads properly eventually.

When mine crashes, it closes. Usually mid-flight I will get the error message "Microsoft Flight is not responding" then it just closes. Sometimes it freezes on loading. That's usually resolved by going to the start menu and going back though. But I'm with McMaster here, if we are doing this to resolve issues like that, I will join.

I would love to help but the only couple of issues I had was for one that when I updated my graphics driver,the fps dropped to an unplayable level.I rolled them back and have not updated since.

The second is about the same as above.I will be within mid-flight and just randomly here and there,the game just unexpectedly minimizes to the desktop where the flight icon is still in the toolbar running,I click on it it shows a quick loading screen and then goes right to the pause screen where I can resume.No error messages received.

Another issue I ran into wa one time after I landed during a job,I hit the N to skip the taxiing to the cargo area then the loading bar screen locked.I then had to run task manager to end the process because it locked.I also recall after taking a job from the boards,the loading bar locked and had to do the same thing,but in the task maanger it never said "not responding".

It would be nice to participate in this alpha program, I cant star game from Steam app, but from shortcut made by install from Ms Market it works fine.
