^This.

On a serious note, your anti-virus is paranoid if it honestly tells you it's a virus. I wonder if all Torque 3D powered games is considered viruses.

I too have the same issue, Steam DRM seemed to have triggered the false positive.

Unhappy

I have this too, Eset Endpoint security tells me that there is possibly unknown CRYPT.WIN32 virus and I cant start the game. But, before I played this and everything was OK some 2 or 3 days ago. So what has changed? Update to game or AV?
By the way, I have experienced some issues with this game before, at load my PC produces some strange electrical "clicking" sounds, like in PSU, but that is brand new, some month old and no other game or program produces this kind of sound, not even on higher load (I can see W load on my case). Strange...

Any antivirus package should allow you to add TW.exe to your exceptions list.

Add [SVS] blea to your friends list and i can help walk you through it.

That is above and beyond your call of duty. I salute you. As someone who works <groan> in tech support, I'd just say, "Uh...get a hold of the techs for your antivirus/security program."

I notice some recent ESET updates to their virus signature database have caused false positive detection on some games. Most of these have been fixed with the latest updates, so perhaps simply making sure you have the latest update (currently 7470) might resolve it.

If not, I'd suggest a couple things. First, add the folder for the game (or the exe if there is no dedicated folder) from Program Files to the exclusion list. Click here for instructions on how to do this.

Then submit the exe file to ESET Virus Labs as a potential false positive. Again, click here for instructions on this process.

If adding the file as an exception fails, contact your local ESET Customer Care department for more assistance. If you're in the US or Canada, you can submit a support case online or call them at (866) 343-3738.

something really changed yesterday. No virus warning anymore. And, no strange sounds from my case anymore. Something must have been wrong with the game.
