My HalfLife mods are flickering in 3-5 min (alt tab in a fraction of seconds)
Hello, I have a problem playing counter-strike 1.6 in my laptop (with any mod of half life).
When I playing counter-strike 1.6 my game appears to alt tabs out and back in for a fraction of a second every 3 – 5 min. ( it’s flickering in 3 -5 min). I play in 640 : 480 with fps 100, when I change it for 60 lessens the problem. My monitor is AUO26EC manufactured by B156XW02 V6 and it doesn’t have a driver so I can’t change the refresh rate for other value than 60 hertz ( I think the problem is it). I have installed the latest drivers for NVIDIA and the Intel graphics I can’t find another driver to install. My drivers are NVIDIA 301.42 for the dedicated card and VGA_Intel_8.15.10.2342 for the integrated card ( in it I can’t change the refresh rate too). If I turn on the vertical sync on Nvidia driver the problem ends but my fps stay in 60 and I don’t want it. The game is running by Nvidia card and not the integrated card. I tried to change the windows 7-64 to 32 but the problem still occurs. I tried to put the command freq 100 but the refresh rate is 60 so is useless. I think the problem is the Nvidia Optimus and the refresh rate of my monitor. I want to play in 640:480 (FULL SCREEN) with fps 100 without the problem. Is anybody know how to fix it? My configurations are: Laptop Acer Aspire 5750G Dedicated Video: GT540M – 1GB DDR3 Processor: i7-2630QM 2.0 GHz Memory: 4 GB DDR3 15.6’’ LED HD 640 GBS Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Last edited by mateusoo: 09-13-2012 at 11:22 AM. |

have you tried verifying the game cache
go to steam> games library> right click on CS: 1.6> properties> local files> verify integrity of game cache |
