Random crashing with BSOD
Every 5-20 minutes, Borderlands crashes spectacularly. The sound still works, and other processes (iTunes, Skype, etc.) will actually continue playing audio underneath. However, any attempt to Ctrl-Alt-Del does nothing and the computer has to be restarted to work again. I've done a bunch of testing, and here are the things it's not:
-Overheating: no other game overheats my card, and I play heavier games than Borderlands 2. BL2 gets a solid smooth framerate, so quick it tears here and there. The card does get up around 80 degrees C though. -Background processes: the game crashes just as quickly after a selective startup. -Not the latest drivers: I updated. I'm running an AMD FX 4170, GeForce 550 Ti, 8GB RAM, Windows 7 64-bit Home Edition. Does anyone else have the same issue? |
