Question How to delete games from steam without log in?

I've got games installed on this PC from my alternative steam's account. But I've forget it's password, so I want to delete those games to free up space on my hard drive without log in on that steam's account. How do I can do that? Is there an way to delete all those games without log in and delete it fully, not just deleting an folder and left another ones?

Isn't a way to properly uninstall without logging in. I remember trying through the control panel and being prompted to login.

Why don't you just recover the password...?

I think you can uninstall games from any Steam account though.
They all should show up on your list if they're on your PC regardless of whether you own them on that account or not.

You can always delete the games folder...look up in your <steam folder>/steamapps/common directory.

When someday you have access to your account, Steam will mark the game as 'need updating' because the files are deleted.

The painful way:

1. Backup your other games.
2. Uninstall Steam, that uninstalls all games as well.
3. Clean out what remains.
4. Install Steam.
5. Restore your games.

Just delete the directories and use regedit to delete the "Steam App" keys located at [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\ Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall].

That's everything steam does when uninstalling something. Uninstalling is the wrong word though. You can't uninstall something that isn't installed to begin with. Even steam just calls it "Delete".

It also restores changes made during the initial install of the game. For proper cleaning you should look at the install.vdf (or whatever.vdf) file of the game and clean additional registry entries, launch uninstall processes if applicable (like license revoke) and stuff like that.

Try logging in with another account, the game should appear as "preload complete" or something like that. Right click it and select delete local content. In theory it should work.

Well, I don't have anything that says "preload complete". When I log in with my primary account, there only games this account own.
