No Rest For The Living on Zdoom GZdoom and similar
If you own Doom 3 BFG and wish to play the "No Rest For The Living" chapter on Zdoom or GZdoom or a source port of the same family.
You will need - An Doom II wad file (doom2.wad), one that doesn't come with Doom 3 BFG for the best results - NERVE.WAD from the Doom 3 BFG files. - And this extra .WAD with the necessary info to run the maps in the right way. http://www.mediafire.com/?hlow6wc44c6n4w6 (This will play the correct music from the 360 version) and run this line with a .bat/shortcut/comandline/etc.. (G)Zdoom -iwad doom2.wad -file nerve.wad nerveinfo.wad |

if you have the paths to your wads in the config file just write -iwad doom2 -file nerve nerveinfo if not, just write the full path, something like this (This is just an example, replace it with the paths on your computer) -iwad C:\Doom\doom2.wad -file C:\Doom\nerve.wad C:\Doom\nerveinfo.wad if you are using another OS other than Windows keep in mind that the directory uses another structure and be careful with the matching case. |

my point is, to play the bfg edition but with gzdoom, so i can unlock the achievement while having a good doom resolution and all the others good things
so i put all gdzdoom file in the wads folder, under bfg edition folder (Doom 3 bfg edition\base\wads), and then i write that command line? because doing it as you said, doesn't work, the BFG edition still load the default doom wad Last edited by Amph: 10-22-2012 at 05:13 AM. |

Achievements are useless for a classic game such as Doom anyways.
![]() A non-Steam shortcut with the use of -file in the target properties is all you need (IE -file nerve.wad nerveinfo.wad) and anything else you want to load. |

this file in particular only works with Zdoom and family (like Skulltag or Zandronum), probably vavoom too (i didn't tested on it) However Risen3D is based on Doomsday so i think Doomsday version of mapinfo might work on it. Here the sintax to make one: http://www.dengine.net/dew/index.php?title=Map_Info Good luck. |

It's too bad it can't be it's own menu in zdoom like the master levels is.

But it's possible to edit it and create as a seperate episode on Zdoom. Just change the map names and edit the mapinfo to make that happen |

Many thanks for this! I couldn't work out why I wasn't being sent to the secret level, despite being sure that I'd found the secret exit. Using this extra file, it behaves as it should.
