30th October update — game crashes

After new patch I can't run game anymore, it crashes on startup with this error:

Code:
Ran out of virtual memory. To prevent this condition, you must free up more space on your primary hard disk.

Address = 0x7c812aeb (filename not found) [in C:\WINDOWS\system32\kernel32.dll]
Address = 0x47fbf1 (filename not found) [in D:\games\Steam\steamapps\common\tribes\binaries\Win32\TribesAscend.exe]
Address = 0x4a8213 (filename not found) [in D:\games\Steam\steamapps\common\tribes\binaries\Win32\TribesAscend.exe]
how do I fix it?

Hi, have either of you guys had any luck fixing this problem? I only logged in today and I have the same problem except a few letters and numbers after the "Address =" are different. I'm assuming it's the latest patch that's the problem.

Not that i'm aware of on any other forums. Doesn't seem to be that many people having the same problem though. Do they actually know of this problem if there's only a few of us? Also, is anyone else playing on barely at or below the minimum system requirements for the game like me. Just thinking they may have made it so you need ever so slightly higher specs to keep playing now.

"The "Ran out of video memory" error is caused by using a 32 bit operating system with limited memory.

The issue is that your operating system is not appropriately allocating your video memory.

The best solution for this would be to upgrade to a 64 bit operating system, but if you can not do this you could try the following:

1. Open command prompt (you can do this by typing "cmd" into the start menu search bar.
2. type "bcdedit /set IncreaseUserVa 3072" without the " and then reboot your pc.
3. If you notice any weirdness after doing this you can set it back to default by typing the following in a cmd prompt "bcdedit /set IncreaseUserVa 2048" and rebooting.

***Please note: We can not be held responsible for any issues that arise from you trying this and something not working correctly.***"

a big FU from hirez to us who have 32bit windows7 =\

True, a big finger to the 32 bit users. That, with the lack of updates, has made me move on pretty fast. Now reducing my gaming backlog, starting with Payday (fun co-op shooter!).
