High Five glitch?

Hi there,

Recently I've seen a few players who are running around with their hand in the air (like they just don't care) like they are going for a high-five, but that are shooting and playing normally. They said they were just glitching, but I've only seen this since the Halloween update, so is it a new thing?

It has been around since high5 was introduced. I'm not sure how to do it but I heard it involve you doing something about high five while the round is ending.

Can someone give a clear explanation about this please. It look very funny IMO.
Oh. Free rep for anyone who tell me

Here's a noob question for anyone. Do I have to own the high 5 taunt myself in order to high five other people these days? Alot of people use it & for the life of me I can't high 5 them(when they setup for it)

I tried the taunt key, the action key, checked my keybinds in the options & could see nothing.

I'm not F2P & I certainly used to be able to do it. I'm confused

(sorry, don't mean to high-jack the thread, seemed sort of on topic )

Hmmmmm, it should be that you hold down 'h' or the action button.

Yeh, it's a real weird one. I changed my action when MvM came out to one of my mouse side buttons but I try this & it still doesn't work. Hey-ho, nevermind.....thx for the reply

if i remember correctly, you have to high five at the end of the round during the little lag spike when everyone swaps teams. I can't verify it though, I've never tested that myself.

+6 rep as promised.

Now I still got +6 rep X4 to go for today. Can anyone confirm or disprove this?

i have a high5 taunt and Veccy is right, you have to hold "H" when the round ends and hope nobody come kill/high5 u and when the other round starts you may be in the pose, that doesn't change anything for you but others will see you in the pose. and phai3838 you have to own the high5 item and equip it.

No, do a normal taunt (G button).

Might be the old "jump taunt " thing. Originally you could taunt and then immediately jump which still preformed the taunt but allowed you to move around .

You can still do it today by taunting off of a ledge at just the right moment .

(Nothing is better than doing a moving engineer dance while snipers are trying to kill you)

That's the thing though... If you can't see it yourself, then how do you even know if it worked? (Unless of course someone mentions it in the chat/over a mic.)

if you do a normal taunt "g" it glitch in the end, like if you're a pyro and taunt with the fireaxe he will start playing the guitar and the will apper in the high5 pose for you before it goes to firstperson again, or just ask for someone, and if your team lose you can see it since you'll be in thirdperson.

+6rep for both.
I still can't do it for some reason(I have hi5)

Here's more specific question.
1.when to start hi5? Can I just hi5 right away after the round end and make sure nobody hi5 me? Or should I do it during the little lag spike while the team is switching like what Veccy said.
2.will it always work if you do it right? Or is it a chance to happen?
3.does being on a winning or losing team matter?

Still got some +6rep left to spare. Can someone answer this please?

You have to be in the high five stance when the round ends. That's it.

I always considered this cheating via bug mainly due to the fact it makes it difficult to dodge projectiles thabks to this bug making it hard to see were they're aimming their guns.

I hope they eventually fix it...
