Trading Stories: Worst rip-off attempts

This thread got started to post your worst rip-off attempts you have experienced. The difference between this thread and the thread "Worst trading conversations ever" is that people try to rip you off, not randomly trade and insult you.

I'll start:

PICTURE

I wanted to know how much my unusual (Dapper Topper w/ Cauldron Bubbles) was worth. I'm pretty sure a duel for it is unfair.

Not really a rip-off attempt, but some guy wanted OFFERS for a UNIQUE Cleaner's Carbine.
I wanted to give him two weapons, and he just said "nty".

Seriously? Offers for a weapon that isn't even worth anything more than a scrap tops?

Yeah they love offering free things (happened to me as well).

They are really that greedy.

Someone offered me the regular price for my #62 Made Man. At first I thought he simply didn't notice the craft number, but even after I pointed that out he continued to think the regular price is fair.

Really? Really? Offering a free-to-play game? I hope he didn't know SMNC was free to play in the first place, or else that is the most nonsensical trade offer I've seen.

Someone tried to buy my Large Luchadore for 10 bucks.

He said "We will use this middleman", and linked me to dmtdude's Steamrep profile.

"Here is his Steam profile"

The profile he linked me to had a different name, a different avatar, and was nowhere close to dmtdude's.

Both had Steamrep scam marks for impersonating middlemen.

I pointed this out, he called me a homosexual and blocked me.
