Question How to set up a GMod server?

Just recently got GMod, and it is loads of fun.

Convinced my friends to get it, and we decided we can play TTT on other, public servers, but we should probably use our own server for Sandbox.

One of my friends has set up a Port-Forwarded Minecraft server, so he isn't entirely clueless on how to set a server for a game up, I was just wondering where you get the actual server files

Every guide I find uses Hamachi, but we would rather not use that for various reasons.
It would be nice if anyone could tell me where to find the files, and maybe a small guide on how to set up the server so I can relay it to my friend

Also, he only bought GMod, but we know that you need CS:S to use TTT, will gifting him a CS:S guest pass work? (since he only needs the models and such)

Thanks ahead of time!

What Callum_UK linked to will work out fine. Make sure to install CSS\TF2 etc. as well the same way, if you want access to that content too.
