Exclamation hud_combattext_batching 1 [A Very Useful Console Command]

Interesting console command that I found in the ozfortress forums:

hud_combattext_batching 1

It combines damage numbers that are close and constant on the same enemy into a single number. So if your playing heavy or pyro and you do damage to an enemy with a flamethrower/minigun/needlegun/smg, this console command combines the damage together to give you an in depth look on how much damage you've done.

Example video [Not made by me]: http://www.youtube.com/watch?nomobile=1&v=1JcBC1USF0A

This does not affect other weapons like it doesn't combine 2 scattergun or rocket hits.

It's a pretty new console command so I'm sure not many of you know about this yet. I highly recommend using it.

More info about this console command, thanks to wab!

(basically if someone's on fire and you shoot them during a tick it would stack the damage with the burn tick damage but then the next burn tick would be separate damage text)

works with:

bison
pistols
needle guns
miniguns
flamethrowes
multiple stickies or a pipe and sticky
smgs
Mini sentries
Level 2 sentries
Level 3 sentries
Wrangled sentries

Basically anything that isn't clustered closer then 1 burn/bleed tick wont stack.
Also each cluster is per player so if you shot 5 heavies all lined up with the machina it wouldn't say you did like 2,250 damage rather there would be 5 450 damage text, one for each player.

Very nice cmd though. I'm pretty sure it's not default because it's new.

Fixed for you..

Really useful command, thanks for that. The damage numbers were really annoying as heavy on mid range. Gonna try it later.
