Lightbulb [NEW FEATURE] Steam now alerts people if wishlisted game goes on sale.

no thread on this yet? (or am i blind?)

steam now will alert folks when an item on their wishlist goes on sale.
..at least it will start soon. not sure people are getting these emails yet.. but they will..

also looks like they may/can/will add more email notifications later. (via more checkboxes)

Cool. Although I hope it'll have a counterpart Steam client notification too.

That's cool and all, but I usually just check my wishlist each day after the store changes over. Anyway have they fixed the categories in my library so they don't spontaneously disappear or have they given us the ability to actually customize our libraries the way we want? No they haven't. Once again they added yet another option without fixing whats already on the plate. New options are nice but can we get the ones we have already working correctly or properly first. Not a lot to ask.

Wonder if it'll help any on the large sales though, usually there's at least some discount on a lot of my wishlist, so sure I'll get a notice for that at the start but I wonder if the daily discounts will get an alert then as well.

The Steam client has been able to do this for a while when you check the Recommended games page. Sending emails though is pretty nifty!

Being able to see which DLC you own on the store page is far more important to me. (Hint: you can't).

Yeah be nice if the DLC listing under a game had like a Green Check or something.

But for now I just add all DLC to cart and remove what I already have or don't want.

I know, but it's ridiculous that we have to do that, isn't it? The tooltip thing shows you if your friends own the dlc or not. Whether you personally own it is surely more important.
