Flash sales? What does it exactly mean?

So, im looking at Natural Selection 2 and it says
"FLASH SALE! - Offer ends in 15 hours"

When do we get new flash sales? And how about the indie and controller sales?
And how are the prizes matched with the big sale prizes? Can i expect Natural Selection 2 to go under 60& off?

It means in 15 hours, it ends and another flash deal takes its place. it'll no longer be sold for the flash deal price.

EDIT: To answer your other question, they go roughly 33-75 percent off, since it's pretty much open season for every game except those currently on the daily deals.

Natural Selection 2 might go down to 33 percent off when it goes back to normal price, assuming it's still on sale at all after the flash deal is up.

Tho keep in mind that the games that are flash sales atm might become daily deals later. So you might not have to worry if you miss a particular flash deal.

If those are flash sales as well (I haven't checked), then it's likely they'll be replaced with other flash sales when they go up.

They become a daily deal for the same prize or a even better price?

Flash sales mean when buying the game to have to expose yourself.

They are tagged with "Christmas offer - ends 5th Janaury"
Does that mean they could become a flash or a daily sale with a better price later on?

Usually for the same price. I'm not sure but I think there was one game that got different discounts for the daily and flash during the Summer Sale. More likely an exception.

Yes, they could. It's wise to wait and don't buy these games right away as they might feature as daily/flash. If they don't, then you can purchase them at the last day of the Winter sale

Thanks for clearing that all up for me
So hard to wait, but i think thats kinda the spirit of the sales every time.
Bit dissapointed about not having a achievment list, but it feels like they are even more discounts than last time!

More games on steam = more discounts to see = more games to buy

its safe to buy daily and flash sales that you like right away, wont get cheaper in this sale.

Only games that arent on sale and have a little dicount arent safe to buy since they might go on flash/daily and get even cheaper.
