Windows 8, game won't start

just bought dark souls and cant get it to work at all. When I open the game I can see the darksouls processes running in task manager, but nothing happens at all, the game will not open. Is there anyway to get this to work? running windows 8 64-bit.

Probably a Games for Windows Live problem since GFWL doesn't work well with Windows 8 from what I hear.

Not sure how to fix the problem. But if you can figure out how to make GFWL and Windows 8 get along you should be fine.

1.Uninstall all GFWL stuff from add/remove programs.
2.Go into program files folder and remove any folders related to games for windows live.
3.Restart the computer
4.Install GFWL client
5.Login to the GFWL client
6.Start Dark Souls
