Failed to start game (unknown error)

I'm having some problems with launching CS:GO. It was working fine yesterday but today it just stopped launching. There has been no installations or any changes to my system since then.

I've tried the following things:
1. Restart steam and restart the computer
2. Verify cache
3. Reinstalling (deleting local files and redownloading all the files)
4. Deleting the files in the steam folder to force an "update"
5. Changing the server location for Steam

I'm completely stuck and Steam's support doesn't have the greatest track record for helping out. If someone could point me the right direction, I'd really appreciate it.

Same problem here. You can run the game by the .exe file in CS folder. It will work, but Steam need to fix it.
