Short the "steam guard 15 days" thing

15 days? that's way too long for a big trading game

i dont see what steam guard has to done with trading except for preventing accounts from being logged in by other people

It's a single 15 day wait, & you get more account security.

Because steam guard should stop your account from getting hijacked (unless you give out your email passwords too!!), it should be just accounts with it turned off that get taken over.

As the account should be able to be reclaimed within the 15 days, it stops people from transferring all their inventory over to other accounts.

You wait 15 days ONCE. A little over two weeks is nothing, go play some of the great games on steam while you're waiting.

Don't disable Steamguard and there is nothing to worry about.
It keeps you and your items secure in case of hijack and me and my items as i don't have to worry about what i trade being stolen items.

In order to participate in Steam Trading you are required to have Steam Guard enabled on your account for 15 days in a row.

Steam Support cannot remove this restriction from your account upon request. If you recently disabled and enabled Steam Guard you will need to wait the full 15 days before you can trade again.

To enable Steam Guard please do the following:
  • Click on 'Steam' in the upper left, then select Settings (Preferences for the MAC client).
  • Select Manage Steam Guard Account Security
  • Choose Enable Steam Guard

For more information on Steam Guard please visit the following link - Steam Guard

if we create a f2p account in order to send a upgrade to premium gift to it, we have to wait 15 days, then we will be able to send the gift, is this correct?

You can gift from the store to any account, it doesn't involve trading. If you mean from your inventory, then yes you would need to wait the 15 days.

If you mean TF2, then you can't trade into a premium account, you need to make a purchase from the MannCo store on that game to become premium (or activate a tf2 cd key on the account).
