Umm why won't my texture mod work??

Hello so quite a while ago I use photoshop or something that I got for a free trial for Skyrim to mod the Dragonscale armour and I did and back then it worked, so I still have the files for it, texture files, so umm what do I do to make it work? I mean it is like this

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Skyrim\Data\textures\ armor\Black Dragon Scale Armour

Do I need to change the last thingy to something else? Like dragonscale or whatever, please help, in their I have 5 files for it, armor, boots, glover, helmet, shield

Lol what I do with is put in on exept for the helmet and shield and put on a nighingale hoody and with mehrunes razor it make you look like the perfect assassin!!

did you have added the right texture strings in Nifskope ?
( .nif files handles the texture port )

If you're just editing textures, you won't ever need to use Nifskope. All you need to do is extract the original texture from the Skyrim - Textures.bsa file that contains it, then modify it however you want, and place the finished texture in the appropriate folder, keeping the same path as found in the .bsa.
