Maybe I'm over thinking but, My entire steam application use to say Steam.exe,after a week of thinking it was a glitch, my chat has been showing up from previous chat sessions I have had. Even if they were from 2 months ago, I just decided to check at the application info and it's crazy.

Chat logs are a new feature included in the Steam client beta, if you're opted in for that.

They've introduced a new way to update the client, so it all looks different now.

The "buildbot_winslave04_steam_steam_rel_client_wi n32@ winslave04" bit is just information about Valve's build system. By the look of it, they have a cluster of machines for compiling code. In this case, you can see that the file is for the release version (rel, as opposed to an internal version) of the Steam client for Win32 (the Windows API) and it was built on the machine winslave04.
