[Fallout: New Vegas] Application load error 5:0000065434

I've just reinstalled New Vegas, but whenever i try to launch the game i'm presented with the application error. I've already tried several things to fix this...

- validating the game several times
- uninstall and reinstall
- reinstalling from disk
- running in compatibility mode
- adding a DEP exception
- checking my anti-virus

None of these things helped.

So i went to google and pcgwiki, which didn't help either, since the only thing i could really find was that this is apparently a common issue if you've pirated the game, which i haven't.

I feel like i've hit a brick wall here, so if anyone out there can help me, it would be greatly appreciated.

I'm using windows 7 64 bit, and it should be updated.
If it'll be any help i can post a full dxdiag.

Did you try to reinstall the dependencies like Visual C++, DirectX and so on? They are in the Fallout New Vegas install folder.

You could add your video- and soundcard from your DxDiag log, nothing else would be needed.

I already tried reinstalling Visual C++, since it's often the cause of issues, and i updated DirectX, didn't help either sadly.

I've managed to solve this issue, but now i have another one instead

I reinstalled New Vegas in the steam dir on my C: drive instead of my D: drive, which fixed the load error, but now when i use the FalloutNV.exe it forces the launcher to pop up(it shouldn't), which means i can't use stuff like NVSE for mods, and Fake_Fullscreen to get rid of the 64hz bug.

Either way, the game is technically "playable" now.
