Steam client error info

Hi, I've made this topic for a friend of mine who has been having some serious Steam problems. If anyone could help him he'd appreciate it very much.

Hurray! finally I can post. Still having this issue, tried everything to correct it. Any tips?

(I am the friend with the problem btw)

I'm having the same problem. Unable to play ANY of my games. I'm really angry. Any help anyone?

Try contacting Steam Support and attach your MSInfo report...

Cross your fingers and say a prayer...

It's still not fixed for me and I've been in contact with steam support on several occasions in the last two weeks now.. I'd quite like for steam to work now please!

Did any one find a solution ??? i am also having this problem :'(

I have already tried the following
(I tried these as others in the steam forums have sugested that they worked for them)
1.Deleted all files/folders from steam root folder except steamapps and steam.exe
2.Run Steam.exe and let it re-download it self
(this supossedly fixed this problem for some but not for me)
3.Format and reinstall windows but keeping the steam apps folder so as not to have to DL all my games again.
4.Run Steam.exe as Admin and in compatibility mode for WinXP Sp3 (Steam Support advise against this)
(While trying these nothing worked for me but i am shearing them with you in-case they work for you)

I have no idea what can be doing this my system is 100% uptodate
all currrent hardware drivers all current windows updates
Win7 x64 Ultimate Edition

My System Specs

PSU = Silverstone Strider 80Plus GOLD 1000Watt
Sound = Asus Xonar DSX DTS7.1
Case = Thermaltake XaserIII
Speakers = Logitech z5500 1010w 5.1 THX DolbyDigital DTS 96/24
Headset = Razer Tiamat Elite True 7.1 DTS
Gaming Keypad = Razer Nostromo
Mouse = Logitech G500
Keyboard = Logitech G110
Joystick = Logitech Extreme 3D Pro

Monitors = 3 IBM P275(Sony Trinitron) CRT's put simply better faster picture than any LED

ANSWERS MAYBE
Apparently this is a Nvidia VGA driver bug

also note i am not running this Steam BIG Picture mode yes om ma TV or Projector but not ma Triple screen gaming rig


SOLUTION THAT WORKED FOR ME
Reinstalling the latest current Nvidia VGA driver 314.22 after uninstalling the ones currently installed = FIXED NO MORE PROBLEMS AND I CAN PLAY AGAIN

I too tried uninstalling the NVIDIA drivers completely, shutting down and restarting, and reinstalling the same issue drivers and I still get this issue.

I've all but given up to be honest and I'm weighing up the options of making a new build with a new OS and seeing if the problem disappears, unless someone can find a solution that works for me on Windows Vista Ultimate 64bit?
