Steam No Connection

Every once in a while Steam will go and say I have No Connection to the internet when in fact I do, it will come back after a few minutes but it does get annoying and was wondering if there was a fix for this.

Today there was scheduled maintenance, that steam support announced on their twitter. So I had downtime today. Happened around 16:00 PST.

But it will happen once or twice to me every two weeks. I found it best just to wait out the downtime.

I don't think that it is Downtime cause it happens to regularly and says at the bottom of steam "No Connection" and I can't do anything on Steam but launch a game and play it. Which can get frustrating when I am not playing a game but looking around in groups and discussions on Steam but can't cause it says I have no connection.

There was a maintenance yesterday and one right now...

Are you using wireless?

Did you set your power profile to high performance?

Did you check in your wireless/network card options if any power saving feature is enabled?

Otherwise
