Steam pipe and custom configs (per user)

I share my computer with a few other people, we all play tf2 and all use different configs

since steampipe, some of our configs are getting mixed up, for example i have an autoexec that runs at startup, works fine for me, but this same autoexe also runs when another user logs into his steam account and plays tf2?

is there a launch parameter i can use to manually launch the config? if so where do i put the config? something like -exec myconfig.cfg in launch parameters would work, then i could just make a desktop shortcut for tf2 with my config, and one for my mate

any ideas/suggestions appreciated

p.s

I don't want to have to bind keys to execute my config, my autoexec runs some minimal graphics settings which lagg the game out if i exec it whilst its running

thanks again

The command is actually "+exec config" in the launch parmas.

Also only use 1 autoexec.

Simply make config files for each user.

eg davesconfig.cfg, billsconfig.cfg, annasconfig.cfg

then create 3 tf2 launchers and have each one with different start params

I'll post in more detail later when I have time.

Made some picture that sort of show how to do this.

Making user specific configs:

Add TF2 Launch options to run a users config at launch:

Adding Launchers to run TF2 and exec a users config
