Post How do you get more Steam Trading Card drops?

I collected four the first time I got the beta on Left 4 Dead 2.

I gave three to my friend, since she was desperate from them, then I sold one. Now I do not have any more.

I have been playing Left 4 Dead 2 a lot, however I do not know how to get more drops, it says: "You are now eligible for a booster pack"

"Once you have received all of your card drops, you become eligible for a booster pack containing 3 additional cards. Booster packs are granted randomly to eligible users as more badges are crafted by members of the community. Make sure you log in to Steam each week to maintain eligibility."

I do not understand the thing about card drops, I says I will get another 3 additional with the booster packs, I know they're granted randomly to eligible users as more badges are created.

I have been logging in and out of Steam every since day for two weeks since I got this.

What is the average time for more additional drops it confuses me.

I recently got a :tradingcard: from Steam, a day ago. I do not know what this does nor do I see a point in it. Should I just sell it? If I sell it how much should I sell it for usually?

Thanks for anyones feedback.
